The Anholt-Ipsos Nation Brands Index (NBI) measures international perceptions of countries on the dimensions of the hexagon. 60,000 respondents are interviewed annually in 20 countries across all continents.
The figure underneath shows how Slovakia and its neighbours perform and exemplifies the kind of analysis that will be provided in the masterclass.
Austria and Poland are relatively well known worldwide (moderate familiarity is reported by all respondents on average).
This results in positive favourability scores that put Austria and Poland among the top 25 nations in the NBI.
It is quite clear that the international images of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine are far weaker, and work needs to be done.
